The “12th BlackSeaRama Vivacom Pro-Am” is open to all PGA Members and trainees as recognised by their respective National PGA. A limited number of exemptions may be considered provided that the Professional is a member in good standing of an organisation that is considered a Professional Member of the International Golf Federation. Any doubts as to eligibility will be decided by the Confederation of Professional Golf [CPG] Board of Directors whose decision will be final.
Amateur participants must be in possession of a valid handicap certificate.
All Professionals are requested to register their teams with the CPG via email or telephone, or alternatively through the online registration form [accessible at the tournament noticeboard or by scanning the below QR code with your phone]. Any form of verbal, in-person registration to a CPG official will not be accepted as registration and must be avoided at all costs by any given player. This must be done before 12.00hrs on Tuesday 7th July.
Telephone number: +44 (0) 20 71 83 59 83 Email: email@example.com
All amateur competitors MUST confirm their current handicap upon registration and MUST bring an updated handicap certificate to send as an image.
It is the Professional’s responsibility to ensure that the CPG is made aware of their amateurs’ exact handicaps as well as the system that their handicap uses and MUST provide a current handicap certificate by one of the digital options mentioned above only. Failure to do so will result in the amateur playing off a handicap of 0.0.
BlackSeaRama Registration Upon Arrival:
Teams will be required to register in-person with BlackSeaRama representatives as soon as possible upon arrival to BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas – registration will be in the clubhouse reception and will be one team at a time. Teams waiting to register will need to do so outside of the clubhouse until they are called in to register.
Participants agree that their personal data may be given to third parties for reasons related to timing, results’ ranking and announcement on the internet. Personal data of the participants required during the registration procedure are stored and will be used for purposes only related to the staging of the event [unless otherwise opted-in to]. By submitting an entry form, each participant consents to the storing of his/her personal data and its use for the purposes of the event.
Participants consent to the use of their image during the event by the organizers, sponsors, or other partners of the event for promotional purposes, with no right to claim full or partial compensation for that reason.
There will be a compulsory Professional briefing, located at the BlackSeaRama Amphitheatre. Attendance is compulsory from all PGA Professionals only, and will cover various COVID-19 related procedures for the event.
In line with the current COVID-19 climate, the CPG and BlackSeaRama have outlined all measures in place for the tournament in line with Health & Safety and social distancing guidelines.
It is the responsibility of ALL PLAYERS to have read this policy document before arriving at the tournament.
The event shall be played under The R&A Rules of Golf, the Tournament Regulations of the CPG, the 2020 CPG Conditions of Competition, the CPG Championship and Sanctioned Event COVID-19 Policy, and the local rules for the Thracian Cliffs, BlackSeaRama and Lighthouse Golf Courses, as determined by the CPG Event Manager.
Up to 30 teams (consisting of 1 Professional and 3 Amateurs) will compete over 54 holes stableford format, with the best two scores from the team of four to count on each hole.
The professionals will play a 54-hole individual strokeplay event.
The handicap limit is 28 for men and 36 ladies with a ¾ sloped handicap allowance in the Pro-Am.
Amateurs are required to provide their exact handicap at the time of entry and will be asked to confirm their handicap during registration of the event. Any amendments MUST be notified by 12.00hrs on Tuesday 7th July.
NOTE: All prizewinners will be required to provide current proof of handicap before their team is presented with their prizes.
The EGA slope system will apply to the tournament and each amateur will play from the applicable handicap.
NOTE: It is the Professional’s responsibility to ensure that the amateurs provide proof of their exact handicap at registration.
Any disputes regarding the interpretation of these Conditions of Competition will be settled by the CPG in consultation with BlackSeaRama and will be binding.
Prizes will be awarded to the top-3 overall Pro-Am teams. In the case of a tie on completion of the 3 rounds in the Team competition, a Card play-off will take place based on the FINAL round scores.
In the case of a tie in the Professional Individual Tournament, a hole-by-hole play-off will take place until a winner is determined.
The starting times for Round 1 and 2 of the Pro-Am will be published on the noticeboards in the BlackSeaRama clubhouse (reception and Tournament Office) and sent by email by 14.00hrs on Tuesday 7th July. The starting times for Round 3 will be published on the noticeboards in the BlackSeaRama clubhouse and sent by email following completion of Round 2. The order of play will be based on strict professional score order.
All competitors are required to arrive at their starting tee 10 minutes prior to their start time. This is to allow the starter to provide additional information to each player. This also ensures that all team members are present and able to start on time.
Two groups ONLY will be permitted on or around the first tee or starting tee: the group that is teeing off and the following group behind them waiting in the designated area.
Buggies will be provided to ALL competitors for the round at Thracian Cliffs and ALL competitors (Amateurs and Professionals) can ride in them for this round only.
Buggies are available to ALL AMATEURS ONLY for the rounds at Lighthouse and at BlackSeaRama, however these are AT THE PLAYER’S OWN COST and are on a first-come-first- served basis. Professionals are NOT permitted to ride in a buggy during tournament rounds at BlackSeaRama and Lighthouse.
Digital Live Scoring via GolfBox will be the paperless method of scoring throughout the tournament. Each team will be required to input scores on a nominated mobile device [one per team], and on a traditional paper scorecard [one per professional].
Upon immediate completion of play, Professionals will be required to signal to the CPG official that they are finished, followed by submitting their scores online via the ‘Score Submission’ sign, located by the Scoring desk.
Once their score has been submitted online, Professionals must not leave the Clubhouse and Surroundings until they receive a confirmation of their score via email. If there are any issues with a score, permission will be granted to discuss this with a CPG Official present.
There will be a CPG Rules Official available to deal with any rulings.
If, however, there is no Rules Official present, the player may invoke Rule 20.1c(3) (two ball rule). The player must nominate the ball with which he/she wants to score, should the rules permit, and report the facts to a CPG Official immediately at the conclusion of play. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
All competitors will be permitted to use distance-measuring devices provided they measure distance only. If a player has any doubt as to whether a device is conforming they should seek the advice of a CPG official.
For everyone’s enjoyment we ask for each team to “keep up with the team in front, and not in front of the team behind”. If a player is not going to score on a hole, he/she is requested to please “pick up”. A Pace of Play will be enforced on the courses.
It will be the professional’s responsibility to ensure that the team’s pace of play adheres to the guidelines of the Chief Referee.
In the event of bad weather and an overall result not being possible, the overall result will be decided over completed rounds.
All players should make themselves aware of the Suspension of Play Policy, which can be found on the CPG Hard Card – Section A11. In all instances when there is a threat of lightning the player should put their own safety first and seek shelter as soon as possible.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances any decision shall be made by the CPG and, in consultation with BlackSeaRama, be binding.
Normal Golf clothing is to be worn at Thracian Cliffs, BlackSeaRama Golf Club and Lighthouse Golf Club during the tournament or the equivalent after golf.
Professionals are permitted to wear shorts throughout the practice and tournament rounds. Dress code will be indicated for each advertised function.
